GenericToner® und SwissToner® Toner Cartridges for laser printers and color laser printers are guaranteed genuine for the following reasons: 1. The Brand Owner sells only HP-compatible toner cartridges remanufactured (completely refurbished to original like working condition) applying DIN & ISO-certified processes. We do not distribute HP-compatible toner cartridges using new casings, nor do our products or their packaging bear “Original HP” or any other stickers or labels that could be misinterpreted. Our toners contribute substantially to the reduction of harmful waste. No misrepresentations towards users are possible. The distribution of so-called counterfeits (fakes) is illegal. The brand owner does not distribute counterfeits. 2. The toner used (the toner itself) is not original toner, but toner developed applying reengineering processes to approach OEM (original) specifications. This is done observing and steering clear of any applicable patents held by the respective original manufacturer. Reengineering is a development process that, starting with a concrete goal in mind, works towards this goal “backwards”, i.e. back to point zero. Using the knowledge gained through this process and the development that is now moving “forward” towards the known goal, a product is “redeveloped” or reengineered. The result is identical, it is only the path leading to it that differs. Independent manufacturers often follow this approach to develop technologies that ultimately come under protection in their own right. The distribution of toner cartridges that use existing, protected patents without the owner’s consent is illegal. The Brand Owner does not distribute products that infringe upon any patents. 3. In the case of printing and imaging technologies that, instead of an all-in-one toner cartridge such as that used by HP, use the imaging unit and the toner separately, i.e. where the toner is supplied separately in bottle-like containers, the patent situation may present itself differently. It does not have to, but it may. So-called patent-free toners may use new containers, hence the term “brand-new” toner. However, the toner itself is still protected by the patents as described in Section 2 above, which therefore must be unconditionally honored. The Brand Owner distributes brand-new toners only if no patent infringement is possible, because there is no patent protection and/or the manufacturer holds patents in its own right.
